In 1979 Howard Priestley produced Shock Therapy. This was credited in the book, Nasty Tales – A History Of The British Underground Comic Scene. He then created Dog Tales for The New Funk Times leading to CD art for Bootsy Collins, Mutiny, Mallia Franklin, George Clinton and Ruth Copeland. He helped launch Phoenix Radio at Dean Clough. New Haven Published his first book Love Factory: The History of Holland Dozier Holland winning a 2022 Association for Recorded Sound Collections Award for Excellence in Historical Recorded Sound Research. In 2023 his second book Art And Soul was published.
